Carter Camacho, 18, of Smyrna, Georgia, was arrested on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, after parking a white Mercedes SUV near the Capitol's West Front and sprinting toward the building. The incident has raised concerns about local youth and potential security threats originating from the Greater Atlanta area.
Camacho was wearing a tactical vest and gloves when he was apprehended.
